T.P. Mulrooney, dubbed “The Golf Comedian,” entertained more than 100 guests Oct. 20 at The Clubhouse at Baywood.

The comedian, who has appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime and HBO, began his stand-up career in Washington, D.C., and New York as a college student. But it is his love of golf that has provided the most material for his show. He’s performed for audiences at such classic golfing events as the Masters, The Ryder Cup and the U.S. Open.

Mulrooney’s 45-minute act was ideal for The Clubhouse, which is located in the golf course community of Baywood Greens in Long Neck.

“His golf jokes were definitely a hit,” said Sarah Dickinson, director of events for The Clubhouse at Baywood. “Not only was it a fun show, but it also gave us the chance to showcase the ballroom’s versatility.”
