The Delaware Department of Transportation announced its contractor JJID Inc. will be performing construction on U.S. Route 113 that will result in lane closures.

The contractor will be lengthening the existing US 113 northbound left-turn lane onto Redden Road and creating an acceleration lane from eastbound Redden Road onto US 113 southbound, requiring lane closures on US 113 northbound and southbound from Deer Forest Road to Redden Road, Ellendale, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays beginning Nov. 20 through mid-January 2018.

The project will also include striping a bike lane along US 113 southbound. There will be no work on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Motorists should be aware that construction personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes and anticipate lane shifts.
