Ocean City, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel

The Indian River School District and Academic Partnerships will host a teacher recruitment fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel, 10100 Coastal Highway, Ocean City.

The fourth annual fair will attract school district recruiters from Delaware and the eastern shores of Maryland and Virginia. The recruitment fair is designed to match teacher candidates with anticipated K-12 vacancies in the participating school districts. Candidates will be able to interact with school leaders and will have the opportunity to apply for current and anticipated job openings.

Teacher candidates can register at apllc.org. Individual registration fees are $15 prior to Feb. 9 and $20 the day of. Teacher candidates should bring copies of their current resume with PRAXIS scores and proof of anticipated certification area.

A series of workshops, with teacher candidates expected to attend at least one session, will be featured. The schedule is:

— 9:30-10:15 a.m.: “How to Survive Your First Year of Teaching.”

— 10:30-11:15 a.m.: “Teaching Students to Unlock the Leader Within.”

— 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: “Introduction to Comprehensive Induction Program.”

The registration fee for schools and school districts is $225. This cost includes one 6-foot table and lunch tickets for two representatives.
