Chef Tom Deptula at The Clubhouse at Baywood created four special dishes for Valentine's Day, and the in-house florist is taking orders for roses.

Flower orders must be placed by Feb. 8.

Dinner specials include a pan-seared 12-ounce wagyu New York strip steak with roasted fingerling potatoes, mushrooms and a garlic-herb butter. Seafood eaters can choose from porcini-dusted halibut with mushroom risotto, baby carrots and truffle butter or twin butter poached lobster tails and crab-and-brie twice-baked potatoes and French green beans. The featured dessert is a dark chocolate terrine with salted peanut toffee and peanut butter-raspberry-swirl ice cream.

Wednesday is lobster night at The Clubhouse at Baywood. For $25, guests can order a 1.25-pound whole steamed lobster with a baked potato and green beans. Guests also can choose from the regular menu items, which might include oysters on the half-shell, baked oysters with smoke bacon and a selection of steaks.

The price for roses is $15 for a single rose, $40 for half a dozen and $75 for a dozen.
