The Rehoboth Art League host an opening reception for its latest exhibition “Small Works, Big(He)Art,” from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at the League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.
This exhibition was open to RAL member artists. Each artist was able to place up to five works, no larger than 12-by-12 inches and each priced less than $500. The exhibit includes nearly 200 works in watercolor, oil, and mixed media; pastels; ceramics; assemblage; and digital and darkroom photography.
RAL is also hosting an opening reception for an exhibition by members of the
Coastal Camera Club titled “Connections.” Members of the club explored the theme of emotional and physical interconnections. The resulting works reveal connections between people, nature and mankind to nature. Forty-six images were submitted for review by juror Duane Rieder, and eight images were selected for the show. Rieder is a Pittsburgh-based professional photographer and the director of the Clemente Museum, located in Pittsburgh.
In addition to this exhibition, in the Corkran and Ventures Galleries, is RAL’s ongoing Members’ Sales Gallery, which showcases fine art and fine crafts.
