WANTED: James M. Finney, of Seaford. Weapon discharged during robbery

Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Blades liquor store that occurred Tuesday evening.

At around 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Concord Liquor Store at 8774 Concord Road, a subject entered the business armed with a handgun, demanding money and discharging his weapon, narrowly missing the clerk, who turned over an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the suspect fleeing the scene in a dark-colored passenger vehicle. The clerk was uninjured in the incident.

The suspect had entered the business about ten minutes prior to the robbery and made a purchase. Through investigative measures, troopers were able to identify 30-year-old James M. Finney, of Seaford, as the suspect.

Finney is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 187 pounds with a beard. He was wearing a light-colored long-sleeve shirt and dark sweatpants.

Warrants for the arrest of Finney include charges of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, first-degree reckless endanger and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
