The Delaware State Police, in partnership with the Delaware Department of Education, will host Violent Intruder Preparedness and Response seminars at two Indian River School District schools in March and April.

The sessions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. March 28 at Sussex Central High School, 26026 Patriots Way,Georgetown; and 6 to 8 p.m. April 17 at Indian River High School, 29772 Armory Road, Dagsboro.

Topics to be addressed in these free training sessions include active shooter threats, emergency preparedness, suspicious activity reporting and hometown security threats. The seminars will not be specific to school security but will include several school-related issues.
