Local business owner Jeanette DeWolf of Jeanette’s Hair Gallery in Seaford recently gave back to the community through a Pink Ribbon Sponsorship for the annual Live for Chocolate event held on May 4.
This annual event promotes women’s health awareness and raises funds for Nanticoke’s Breast Cancer Fund, which helps with expenses for Sussex County women who cannot otherwise afford a mammogram or other breast cancer diagnostic testing.
On April 26, DeWolf presented a check in the amount of $500 to the Nanticoke Health Foundation and members of the Live for Chocolate Planning Committee for the sponsorship.
“Jeanette has attended Live for Chocolate over the past couple of years and wanted give back to the event and support women in the community, for which we are very grateful. Her donation will positively impact those that are uninsured or underinsured in our community by providing funding for their mammogram,” said Renee’ S. Morris, executive director of the Nanticoke Health Foundation.
