The Department of Transportation announced that a pavement reconstruction project will require lane closures on Wesley Church Road between Atlanta Road and Bowdens Garage Road, Bridgeville.

At all times, access will be given to resident. Motorists should anticipate minor delays and flaggers will be on-site. The full depth reclamation will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, July 23-27, pending weather. There will be no work the week of July 30 due to the curing process of the roadway.

After the full depth reclamation process is finished, the contractor will pave from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, Aug. 6-15. No work will occur on weekends.

The reconstruction project, which is a full depth reclamation process, rebuilds worn-out asphalt pavement by recycling the existing roadway. The old asphalt and base materials are pulverized, mixed with cement and water and compacted to produce a strong durable base for either an asphalt or concrete surface. Full depth reclamation is an environmental friendly process.
