Cody Daisey, 30, arrested.

Delaware State Police have arrested a Frankford man in connection with a burglary.

On Friday, August 17, at 11:30 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the 57000 block of Lizzard Hill Road in Frankford for a possible burglary in progress. A witness provided police with a description of a suspect who was attempting to enter the front door of a residence before fleeing on a blue, beach cruiser-style bike. While troopers searched the area, they located 30-year-old Cody L. Daisey riding a bicycle at Central Avenue and Old Cemetery Church Road.

As troopers approached Daisey, he began to flee on his bike, then ditched it and fled on foot. A brief pursuit ensued and Daisey was subsequently taken into custody. Troopers located a socket wrench and drug paraphernalia on his person.

It was later learned that on December 13, he had entered a residence on the 35000 block of Bayard Road in Frankford through an unsecured door, but no items were taken.

Daisey was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree attempt to commit burglary, possession of burglar tools, two counts of attempt to commit theft, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on $26,500 secured bond.
