Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach — Seaside, 36470 Seaside Outlet Drive, will host a free outdoor yoga session and kick-off ceremony at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 to kick off the annual #TangerPinkSTYLE breast cancer awareness campaign.
Every year in October, Tanger Outlets sells pink cards for $10 that are reusable 25 percent off coupons valid at participating Tanger stores all month. Shoppers receive 25 percent off during October, while proceeds from the sale of the pink cards benefit local and national efforts to fight the disease and find a cure. Tanger Rehoboth’s local beneficiary, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, is an organization focused solely on breast health issues. Through DBCC, Tanger donations have directly supported early detection, outreach, education and peer mentor support in Delaware and the surrounding communities in Maryland.
Tanger’s national beneficiary is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Through BCRF, Tanger donations have directly supported pioneering studies in breast cancer, including research conducted by Kenneth Offit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Katherine Nathanson at The University of Pennsylvania and Elizabeth Jaffee and Leisha Emens at Johns Hopkins University.
At the kickoff event, participants can practice yoga, hear about the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, tour the women's mobile health screening van, honor survivors, enjoy refreshments and buy Tanger Pink cards.
The first 100 attendees will receive a free #TangerPinkSTYLE yoga mat, and all can enter to win door prizes, including the grand prize gift basket filled with merchandise from Tanger Outlet stores.
