A home and vehicle were hit by bullets
Troopers with the Delaware State Police are investigating a shots-fired complaint.
Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said the incident occurred at about 1:52 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 in the area of Mill Park Drive and Coverdale Road, southeast of the town. Officers combed the area but did not find anything suspicious; they also tried contacting people at a home in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive but without success, she said.
Several hours later a 28-year-old man and 27-year-old woman went to Troop 5, Bridgeville, to report their home had been hit by several shots.
Troopers went back to the area and verified the story and noted a vehicle also had been struck by bullets.
No injuries have been reported, Jaffe said.
This case continues to remain under investigation by the Georgetown Troop 4, Major Crimes Unit, Jaffe said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Det. Archer at 302-752-3791.
