Original artwork depicting a Lewes winter scene by Lewes artist Barbara Lloyd will be raffled off to benefit the Lewes Historical Society.

Lloyd’s watercolor depiction of Zwaanendael Park after a winter snowfall will be reproduced for the cover of the program for the annual Christmas Tour of Lewes.

“As I passed Zwaanendael Park one snowy afternoon several years ago, I thought what a wonderful Christmas card that would make,” said Lloyd. “I snapped a photo to later paint it in watercolor. With the museum and the Chamber of Commerce anchoring the park it just seems to say 'Welcome to Lewes.'”

Raffle tickets are on sale at the historical society’s Lewes History Museum, 101 Adams Ave., where the original will be on display; the Museum Shop, 302 Savannah Road; and at the Ryves Holt House, 218 Second St.

Tickets are $5 each, and proceeds benefit the Lewes Historical Society. The Christmas Tour of Lewes will take place Dec. 1.
