Grinches, princesses, electric sounds this weekend in Sussex

1. Tea time with fun faces

Your little ones can join a host of characters like The Grinch and Elsa for a holiday tea date.

 Light snacks and heavy fun will be dished up. Hot or cold tea will be served with fresh baked cookies. Kids will also have the chance to take photos with characters.

This interactive tea party begins at 2 p.m., Sunday. Tickets are $13.

2. Musical gem in Lewes

Eric Scott has quite the musical passport.

As a touring bassist and vocalist, Scott gigged on numerous stages throughout Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America and the entire United States.

He’s got three solo records under his belt: “Divine Static,” “Let’s Hear it for the Fools” and “Red.”

Growing up, he was inspired by a variety of acts including Black Sabbath, Rush, AC/DC and the Ramones to Marvin Gaye, Nat King Cole and Elton John.

The Eric Scott Trio will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m., Saturday. Admission is free.

3. Tuneful static

Eastern Electric will deliver a roots/Americana shock to your system.

Hailing from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the band delivers rock and blues with a lot of twang.

The band is comprised of members from other bands: Nate Clendenen (Saltwater Stringband), Sonny Martin (G-13), Charlie Greenhalgh (the Larks), Joe Esham and Kyle Coffey.

Eastern Electric draws influence from folks such as Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen and more.

The gang will get your weekend started at 10 p.m., Friday. Admission is free.
