The Georgetown Public Library is transitioning to its new digs. Moving about a block away, the new library will allow more storage, reading rooms, a large children's room, event hall and much more.
The library friends and board have been raising money for about 10 years. Pair that with federal and state funding and you have yourself a brand new, two-story building that is more than 10 times larger than the original library building.
The library continues its fundraising efforts with the brick sale. Buy a brick and get your name or company name carved into it. It is then placed in the patio area of the new library.
The new library will allow guests in July, but the grand opening will be held August 4.
