N.Y. seminary teacher & historian of liberal Christianity to speak at 'Proudly Progressive' Silverside Church

Dr. Gary Dorrien of New York's Union Theological Seminary, a historian of liberal/progressive Christianity is scheduled to  deliver two lectures next weekend at Silverside Church.

Dorrien will speak Saturday evening, March 20, and  after the church's gathering on Sunday, March 21. He will also be the preacher for the March 20 gathering, Pastor Dr. David Farmer said. 

Cost for attending these lectures is $20 per person per lecture. There is no fee for joining Silverside in worship.

The church will provide opportunities to chat with Dorrien before and after his lectures, and he will be leaving time for questions and discussions at the end of his presentations.

Those who plan on attending are asked to register by calling or e-mailing Stefan Guenther at 302-478-5921 Mondays-Fridays 9 a.m. to noon or info@silversidechurch.org. Advance payment is welcome, but can be made at check in on the night or day of the event.

Walk-ins will still be warmly welcomed.
