Sussex Tech and Dover may have entered their annual girls lacrosse game with the same amount of victories, but it was evident early the teams had little else in common.
Tech (8-2 overall, 1-0 Henlopen) scored early and often against the Lady Senators, opened a 9-0 lead at the break and then cruised to a 17-1 win over their hosts Monday afternoon. The win was similar to the Lady Ravens’ 18-3 victory over the Senators to begin the season.
Ravens senior Maxine Fluharty led her team with nine scores and an assist, while sophomore Kellen Cannon found the back of the net three times.
Next up for Tech is Thursday’s 4:15 p.m. home showdown with Caesar Rodney.
