Obit: James I. Cogswell, 86 (Georgetown)

James I. Cogswell, 86, of Georgetown, DE, formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Born Sunday, April 15, 1923 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late William James and Ethel May (Sullivan) Cogswell.

He was a mold builder for the US Government, working at Bolling Air Force Base.  He was an avid reader, a diehard Redskins fan and  a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lewes, DE.
 
Mr. Cogswell is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ethel May Sullivan; two  daughters: Judi Kay and her husband Bob of Weyers Cave, VA and Nancy Kossow and her husband Michael of Bark River, MI; brother, Raymond L Cogswell and his wife Betty of Georgetown, DE; three grandchildren: David A. Reynolds and his wife Jennifer of Phoenix, AZ, Brian W. Kay and his wife Daivie of Louisville, KY and Angela Osterloh and her husband Jim of Greenbay, WI; and four great grandchildren, Elyssa and Hannah Kay and Cole and Allison Osterloh.
 
There will be no visitation and a Memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date.  Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Georgetown, DE.
