OBIT: Gloria J. Wilmuth, 78, of Georgetown

Gloria J. Wilmuth, 78 of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2010, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. 

Born Thursday, June 16, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ralph H. and Laura M. (Jester) Chafin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd R. Wilmuth, who died in 2008, her daughter, Valerie June Wilmuth and two brothers, George E. and Norris Lee Chafin.

A resident of Georgetown for the past 15 years, Gloria was formerly of California and Philadelphia, PA . She was employed as a bookkeeper by Ignition Service in Croydon, PA, a salesperson for Sarah Coventry Jewelers in Riverside, CA and for the past nine years, as a salesperson for Estee Lauder Cosmetics Store, Rehoboth Beach, DE.  Gloria loved to travel, do crafts and most of all, she loved to shop 

Surviving is one sister, Jean Chafin Hudson of Georgetown, one sister-in-law, Jean Stoeckel Chafin, and seven nieces and nephews and their extended families 

A Chapel Committal Service was held on Monday, July 12, at the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
