Ellery L. Parker of Georgetown, DE, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. He was 77.
Mr. Parker was born in Laurel, DE, the son of the late Albert W. Parker and Myrtle (Gordy) Hartman.
He was a supervisor for George & Lynch for 35 years until his retirement in 1998.
He was a member of the Grace U.M. Church in Georgetown, the Franklin Lodge #12 Masonic Lodge, VFW Post #2931, the Georgetown Lions Club, the American Legion Post #8 and the Twinkle Dance Club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hilda Marvel Parker, son, Ellery L. Parker, Jr. of Georgetown, 2 sisters, Isabelle Morris of Raleigh, N.C. and Shirley Cheeseman of Pennsville, N.J. and grandchildren, Ellery L. Parker, III of Georgetown, Mathew Lee Parker and his wife Jillian of Georgetown and Enjoli Vingiuerra of Millsboro.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call Monday after 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
