Ida I.O. Smith, 56, of Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at home.
She was born in Milford, De, the daughter of the late Morris Burton Owens and Ida (Donovan) Owens.
She was an L.P.N. at Beebe Medical Center.
She was a member of the Sussex Central SDA in Georgetown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Richard A. Smith, Jr. in 1999, and her sisters, Grace Kay Owens and Joann Dix Brittingham and Robin L. Kight.
She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Smith, Sr.; four step-children, William Smith of Youngsville, NC, Sheila Smith of Wilmington, Mary Ann Smith of Millsboro, and Kelly Miranda of Texas; siblings, James H. Owens of Farmington, George R. Owens of Ellendale, Sallie Hurd of Williamsville, DE, and Rhonda L. Whitehouse of Ellendale; step-grandchildren, Richard A. Smith, III, Miranda Smith, Andrew Smith, Rebeka Smith, Steven Hulsey, Elizabeth Toomey, Jessica Toomey, Kaylee and Freddie Miranda.
Funeral Services were held Friday, May 14, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, Milton. Interment in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
