He was a faithful member and servant of God until the end.  He attended Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and was a Deacon and a Deacon in deed.  All the time he was sick he still took the time to encourage others about God and how good he is.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mable L. Johnson and first Lady Mary Johnson whom he called Mom although he was old enough to be her dad;  he had an extended family of nieces, nephews, greats, and great greats.

The love of his life was John-John and the babies at the church.  His church family was his life. He loved the Lord with all his heart and his favorite saying was “ Lord have Mercy” and everything is going to be alright”. Right up to the end he was praying and telling Jesus to help him.  Pastor Donald was his mentor in the Lord.  When they weren’t talking about God they were talking about fishing, this was his favorite hobby other than the Eagles, Tiger Woods, and the Williams Sisters.  He enjoyed spending time with his fishing friends from Dover, Mr. William and Emma Green.
