Obit: Ruth H. Andreotti, 78 (Milton)

Ruth Holland Andreotti, 78, of Milton, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford.  Mrs. Andreotti was born February 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pa., to parents, Elizabeth Holland Fossler and James Holland.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Andreotti and a brother, JamesHolland.  She is survived by a daughter, Lark Dickstein; a son, Andrew Andreotti; two grandsons, Jacob and Benjamin; as well as cousins and very dear friends who she valued as family.

Mrs. Andreotti worked in banking and as a church organist in Sussex County.  She was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and avidly pursued genealogy and local history. A talented pianist, she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, needlework, and greatly appreciated the abundance of local natural beauty.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM  at the Coolspring Presbyterian Church, near Lewes, with Pastor David Kaminsky officiating.   Burial will be in the adjacent churchyard cemetery.   Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Mrs. Andreotti’s memory to the donor’s favorite charity, or to Coolspring Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 36, Harbeson, DE 19951.
