James S. Donaway, age 84, lifelong resident of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center.
James was born in Georgetown, son of the late James S. Sr., and Ruth (Bowers) Donaway.
He was a Crane Operator for Arundel Concrete Products for 43 years and retired in 1987.
James was an Army Veteran and member of Georgetown American Legion Sussex Post # 8.
He enjoyed fishing, sports and any activities with his family.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a brother: John Donaway and sister: Dorothy Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Almeda (Rusch) Donaway; a son: Dale Donaway and wife Cathy, of Dover; brother: Rynear Donaway and wife Delores, of Clayton; 2 grandchildren: Scott Donaway and Melissa Quick and husband Steve; and a great grandson: Austin Quick.
Services and burial will be private.
