Linda Louise (White) Elliott, 59, of Parsonsburg, Md., passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after a long battle with cancer.
Born October 4, 1950 in Wilmington, Delaware, Linda grew up in Georgetown, where she graduated from high school and attended college at Del Tech for two years. She lived in the Salisbury area since 1971. Linda had worked as administrative assistant in processing at Mountaire in Selbyville for the last 20 years. Previous work experiences included paralegal work at two law firms in the Salisbury area; Perdue, Owrutsky, and Whitehead; and Long, Laws, Hughes and Bahen.
Linda was a great animal lover. A passionate hobby was raising and showing “Paint” horses. She will be remembered for her great work ethic, her faithful and dedicated friendship and love of “family,” her unique sense of humor, and her independent spirit. “Linda’s strength (at the end) gave us strength.”
Linda is survived by her son, Evan Elliott of Ocean City; her father, Harold S. White and her brother, Grier White and his family (wife, Jeannine and sons Keith and Mike) of Lewes, and Walter Layfield, of Parsonsburg, Md.; and a number of other very dear friends.
Beginning with an informal memorial service at 6 pm, we will celebrate Linda’s life at the Millsboro Fire Hall on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010. Please dress informally, family will be in jeans.
In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family would suggest contributions be made to the SPCA or any other animal help group.
