Atley Keith Robertson, 72 of Georgetown, died Monday June 22, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family and his beloved little adoring Pomeranian Dog; Michael James Robertson. He was born in Creasptown the son of the late Oren Atley Robertson and Lela Ruth Van Meter Robertson.
Mr. Robertson retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Company in 1993 and moved to Sussex County. He was a member of The Milford Church of God for almost 40 years serving on the Council, the Choir and as a Greeter. He was a Handyman and loved fixing and working on things and especially ,shopping at Lowes. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia Davis Robertson, a daughter Robin Swanson of Georgetown, DE 3 sisters Nancy Flannigan of Elkton, Md, Donna Davis of Georgetown, DE and Debbie Cline of Middletown, DE. and several neices and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 25, 2009 at 1:30PM in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call from 1:00PM to 1:30 PM for visitation. Interment will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE. In leiu of flowers donations can be made to the DE Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
