Edna May G. Buckler of Georgetown, DE, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Country Rest Home in Greenwood. She was 82.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Carl Goeckeritz and Edna (Doell) Goeckeritz.
She was employed for the State of Delaware, Department of Elections for 26 yrs.
She was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church in Georgetown and her favorite past time was helping at the church getting ready for church dinners and social events. She was also a past member of Georgetown Historical Society. In Edna’s free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Page Buckler in 2002.
She is survived by her 2 children, Kenneth D. Buckler of Georgetown and Richard L. Buckler and wife Donna of Georgetown, one brother, Richard Goeckeritz and wife Becky of Georgetown, two grandchildren, Tiffany Buckler of Newark and Rachel Buckler of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday, June 29, 2009 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St, Georgetown, DE, where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
