Sarah S. Parker, 95, of Georgetown, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Parker was born in Lewes, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Margaret V. (Warrington) Shockley.
Mrs. Parker will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She faithfully attended church being a member of Carey’s United Methodist Church in Millsboro, and she was also a member of the Milton Senior Center. Sarah enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble with her close friend Virginia Pepper. Mrs. Parker enjoyed gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Wesley Scott and her second husband Samuel Parker and a great grandson Aiden Savage.
She is survived by two sons, Alton W. Scott and his wife Barbara and James W. Scott and his wife Ruth; a sister Elizabeth Marvel; three grandchildren, Allen Scott and his wife Maile, Wesley Scott and his wife Beth and Wendy Scott-Savage and her husband Jesse; five great grandchildren, Leilani, Brandon, Corey, Talan and Avery; one great great grandchild Makai and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, May 17, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro.
Interment at Millsboro Cemetery in Millsboro.
