To the Editor and the Voters in the 37th District:
Those who know Ruth Briggs King, the candidate for Representative of the 37th District, know that she has both the expertise and the “want to” that can make Sussex County a better place to live and work.
I can speak from experience because a few years ago, when I was President of the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, I needed advice on a thorny issue, and Ruth volunteered the time to guide me through a process that saved the Chamber approximately $4,000.
Two things remain in my mind about that incident. One is that she came to me to help – I did not have to track her down. The other is that her recommendations were so precise and “right on” that I felt completely confident when I applied them. The resolution of the issue was a proud moment for me.
I will always be grateful to Ruth for her help in that matter. Unfortunately, I live outside the 37th and cannot thank her with my vote. I can, however, encourage everyone who lives within the 37th to vote for Ruth.
