I am writing this letter in support of Mr. Rodney Layfield who is running for the Indian River School Board. I have been fortunate to know Rodney as a fellow Sussex Central graduate, Delaware State Trooper, and member of the Delaware Special Operations Response Team (SORT).
As co-workers, I have witnessed Rodney in several high stress situations that required split second decision making and level headed thinking. These actions ensured the safety of his SORT teammates as well as the safety of the public. I feel these qualities would be an asset to the Indian River School Board. Rodney will make informed decisions with the students always in mind.
Rodney will be an advocate for parents with children in the school district. He has worked hard to be kept aware of current issues facing IRSD and will only act in the students’ best interests.
Our children deserve the best people on the Indian River School Board. I believe Rodney will help the IRSD move forward in a positive direction.
