Dear Editor,

So Bonnie Palen, Feral Friends of Millsboro, is writing to newspapers and attacking people again.  No surprise there.  She loves to attack people.   How that helps feral  cats I don't know.  None of the other feral cat groups leaders are writing letters to attack people

Palen writes that her group needs money.  Yet she chooses to spend her time and energy attacking people instead of raising money.  That makes no sense to me.

Last Spring Palen decided to ask her email list for money to fix her porch because her cats spend time out there.  That certainly turned off a lot of people.  Then in June, she held a big meeting that was supposed to organize all the rescue groups in a big coalition.  That night she collected $3,000 for Feral Friends of Millsboro.  One of her volunteers reports  that Palen says that money was “lost.”   If that is not true, then why is Feral Friends having financial problems?  Did Palen finally get her porch fixed with the money collected for Feral Friends?

Recently, Palen decided to air the dirty laundry of her group, and that mess certainly can't be helping her get donations.  Palen attacked one of her own volunteers and called the volunteer a liar in a nasty email to a huge list of people, including the press, a state legislator, and representatives of other animal rescue groups.  It turned out that Palen was attacking a disabled veteran of Desert Storm.  Many people decided then and there not to support Palen anymore.  Enough is enough.

I wouldn't give Feral Friends a dime.  Feral Friends of Millsboro need to clean up their act.  I suggest they start by getting a new Director.
