Ruth Briggs King was executive director of the manufactured home communities landowners’ trade group in 2005. In April of that year she wrote a letter to some lawmakers suggesting that the State subsidize rental increases in those communities or that the state set up and run parks for people forced out by rental increases.

Now she says she has always been an advocate of smaller state government and leaner budgets. But the one of her strongest backers is still the same trade group (and realtors, and developers).

It seems Ruth Briggs King will say publicly whatever she thinks will get her elected, but what does she say to these big money supporters in private?

Rob Robinson has not hesitated to say what he believes, not just what folks always want to hear. He is the better candidate.
