Keep the 'Christ' in Christmas

It seems to me that there is a move to take the term Christmas out of the holiday season. Christmas is the time of year Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Although not verified that that Dec. 25 was the actual day of his birth, that makes no difference. Lots of things are celebrated on days other than the actual occurrence.

The point I would like to make is, if you don't believe in Christ and don't want to say Merry Christmas, then that's your problem. I think if you don't want to celebrate Christmas then there is no reason to buy presents and that should close most store completely, as that is where the money is made.

Most stores make their year at Christmas. If there is no Christmas then why should people spend the money (that they don't have) to give gifts to celebrate nothing. Get my drift? You can't have a “holiday season” with out a holiday. If Christians withheld spending on presents one year, the stores would have to close. So, get with it and let's celebrate CHRISTmas and have your clerks return the “Merry Christmas” greeting when expressed.

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!
