This weekend featured exciting Little League games across the county. Thanks to all who support our children and sports in Sussex County. Participating in sports is fun for our youth, but these activities would not come together nearly as well without parents and volunteers. Let’s keep our children active and safe this summer.

Growing up as the daughter of a pastor in a rural area, I know full well how community leaders can teach the public. But it was just as clear how much the public can teach us as well. It is similar for me as the editor of a small newspaper. While I am tasked with telling my readers the news, they also participate by teaching me more about this community every day. It is a great job because I get to interact with readers on a daily basis. I get a glimpse into your lives and it can be very rewarding. I truly look forward to learning more about our community and hope that more of you welcome me in as the weeks and months fly by.
