Cruise Night at The Circle, hosted by the Historical Vintage Car Club of Delaware and sponsored by The Brick Hotel and Lester Realty, is held every third Wednesday of the month at The Circle in Georgetown. The event is open to antiques, rods and customs, and special interest vehicles. A discount coupon for The Brick is given to all cruise-in cars and a drawing is conducted each month for a dinner for two at The Brick. Sussex County and the Delaware State Police hosted 911 Awareness Day on May 9 at the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center on Rudder Lane in Georgetown. Children from area schools were in attendance to receive safety education from various local agencies.

Sussex Technical High School held its junior and senior prom on May 4. This year's theme was "Diamonds Are Forever." Before the prom, students marched on Georgetown's The Circle, in front of hundreds of family members and friends.
