DTCC baseball splits double-dip with Mercer

Mercer County Community College (N.J.) 10, DTCC 5: Fielding errors proved costly as the Roadrunners lost game one of a double dip to Mercer. Delaware Tech produced 12 hits in the loss.

DTCC 4, Mercer 2: Delaware Tech managed a split thanks to a game two victory powered by former Sussex Central star Matt Eskridge. Eskridge drilled a three-rune home run in fourth inning as to lead the Roadrunners.

Former Indian River Indian Luis Barrientos also had a solid day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, while Sammy Farnell doubled as well.

Starting pitcher Mark Shoff went the distance for the Roadrunners on the hill and surrendered just five hits while striking out six to earn the win.
