Students from all over Sussex County participated in the annual Young at Art exhibition at the Rehoboth Art League.

The winners were:

• Tom Wilson Award ($200) went to Lisa Weiss of Indian River High School
Village Improvement Award ($150) went to Dillon Thune of Indian River High School

Rehoboth Art and Framing Awards:
$75 gift certificate - Michelle Norton, Cape Henlopen High School
$50 gift certificate - Kenny Diaz, Beacon High School

Honorable Mentions ($25 gift certificates):
Eric Carpineta - Milton Elementary
Leslie Smith - Sussex Central High School
Hope Blevins - Indian River High School
Conrad Rutkowski - Cape Henlopen High School

The art demonstrated insight, talent and the personality of the artist. It was displayed across the Corkran Tubbs and Ventures Galleries of the Rehoboth Art League in Henlopen Acres.

Art teachers judged the students’ works; and one student from each school won a scholarship for a Rehoboth Art League art class. The funds come through the James Kenneth Derrickson Memorial Scholarship program. The program is supported by PNC Bank and the Delaware Division of the Arts.

The Young at Art exhibit will be on display through March 19. The Rehoboth Art League is located at 12 Dodds Lane, just blocks from downtown Rehoboth. For more information, visit www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408.
