A first-inning grand slam by Sussex Tech's Eric Sharff got the Ravens off on the right foot in an 8-1 win on Thursday against Sussex Central.

The Knights were able to plate a run in the third inning, but despite holding the Ravens to six runs through the seventh inning, couldn't get  their bats going.

Sharff, also the winning pitcher for Tech, racked up four strikeouts and gave up three hits in his seven innings of work.

The Ravens will play Laurel today, 4:15 p.m. in Georgetown; Central will have a rematch against Tech in a 4:15 p.m. matchup on April 20.
