The Sussex Tech Ravens boys basketball team upset the Blue Jays in Seaford on Friday, 60-57.
After losing a seven-point lead during the fourth quarter, the Ravens saw their lead come and go before freshman Jevon Whaley sank two free throws on a 1-and-1 to put Tech ahead three points with 5.5 seconds remaining.
Sussex Tech is on a three-game winning streak, after starting the season 0-10. The Ravens head north Feb. 2 for a tilt against the Dover Senators.
Things did not go as well for the Ravens' crosstown rival, Sussex Central, however.
The Golden Knights, who watched a seven-point early second quarter advantage disappear before the half, battled back to tie Woodbridge late before eventually losing 69-67.
With the loss, Central's first in its last five games, the Knights fell to 4-6 on the season. They will get back to Henlopen North play Feb. 2 at Caesar Rodney.
