Millsboro Major Softball All-Stars advance to District III finals

Millsboro's Major League Softball All-Stars advanced to the District III championship game by defeating Milton 11-1.

The All-Stars will have two chances to capture the district crown and move onto the state tournament, beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Seaford. They will play the winner of tonight’s bout between Milton and Woodbridge, both squads the Millsboro team dropped into the losers’ bracket. Millsboro opened the tourney with a 7-2 win over Woodbridge.

Whichever team wins the District III championship will play again in New Castle County in the state tournament, the victor there heads to Bristol, Conn. in the East Regional and then finally that victor qualifies for the World Series.
