Sussex Central 3, Dover 2: Sussex Central, as it headed into its most difficult stretch of schedule, got a big Henlopen Conference win at home over Dover thanks to a three-run, sixth inning rally. Trailing 2-0 entering the frame, the Golden Knights loaded the bases and then took advantage of some Dover fielding mistakes to score its three runs. They also got a stellar performance on the mound from senior ace Matt Cleary, who went the distance to pick up the win.

St. Mark’s 6, Sussex Central 3: Central lost for the fifth time this season, this time to non-conference opponent and two-time defending state champion St. Mark’s. Senior Kevin Guthrie had two hits for the Knights in the loss.

Sussex Tech 8, Polytech 0: In a battle between vocational rivals and Henlopen division leaders, the Ravens left little doubt where the power in the conference resides. Tech got a 2-for-3 day out of junior shortstop Shane Marvel that included 3 RBI, while senior lefty James Smith kept the Panthers to just four hits while striking out eight in a complete game win.

Sussex Central 19, Dover 0: Lady Knights sophomore Mykala Steele tossed a no-hitter in Central’s five-inning victory over Dover. The Knights had a 13-run second frame en route to the win and got three hits each from Katie Warrington and Whitney Brittingham.

Sussex Central 22, St. Mark’s 0: Centrals’ bats stayed hot as it routed non-conference foe St. Mark’s in a five-inning contest. Senior windmiller Kristen Cooper allowed the Lady Spartans just two hits through the five frames and the Knights’ offense pounded out 22 hits in the blowout.

Sussex Tech 8, Polytech 4: Sussex Tech remained undefeated with a showdown against rival Sussex Central around the bend, as it scored four runs in the first inning and held on to defeat Poly. Amber Callahan and Samantha Bowersox each had three hits and three RBI for the Lady Ravens in the win, while senior Logan Pavlik scored three times and drove in a pair of scores.

Indian River 7, St. Mark’s 6: Freshman Rachel Hudson went 3-for-4 at the dish and also picked up her fifth win from the circle, as the Lady Indians won a tight battle against non-conference opponent St. Mark’s.

Sussex Tech 2, Indian River 1 (OT): Sussex Tech girls’ soccer shocked the Indians in overtime, as the Lady Ravens defeated Indian River for the first time in school history in girls’ soccer. IR took an early lead when Caitlin Forte found the net thanks, but Tech freshman Rebekah Warrington – whose sisters both play for the Indians – tied the contest in the second half before Leanne Rowe found the net at the 88-minute mark to start the Ravens’ celebration.
