A Greenwood bridge whose aging corrugated metal pipes were damaged during 2012’s Hurricane Sandy is reopened.

The bridge is located over Toms Dam Branch on Tuckers Road between Fawn and Saw Mill roads. According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, replacement of the bridge began in November 2013. The project involved the placement of pre-cast box beams on new abutments, as well as the reconstruction of the roadway approach and the placement of riprap in the stream to prevent erosion. Weather delayed the project significantly.
