The Walt Jones Memorial Project, in conjunction with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, will hold its Ninth annual Golf Outing on May 16.

The Walt Jones Memorial Project, in conjunction with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, will hold its Ninth annual Golf Outing on May 16.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Midway Par 3, 34578 Pinnacle Road, Lewes. More than 200 people will participate.

The Walt Jones Golf Outing was founded in 2005 by Shaun Jones, Walt Jones’ grandson in honor of local golf legend and Habitat supporter Walt Jones. Walt Jones was the owner and operator of both the Old Landing Golf Course until 1979 and Midway Par 3 course prior to his passing in 2010.

This year’s events also include a “Wing It For Walt Jones” night at Bethany Blues - Lewes May 14th. There will also be a 50/50, live music and a raffle starting at 5 p.m.
