State police are advising Milford residents of a homeless sex offender living somewhere in the area.
Antoine M. Sturgis, 32, was convicted in June of 2000, according to the Delaware Central Sex Offender Registry.
Sturgis is considered a Tier II or moderate-risk offender.
Sturgis is not wanted for any crime. State law requires police to notify area residents when a known sex offender is living in their neighborhood. Law enforcement officials use the media to notify the entire community when a sex offender is listed as homeless.
Sturgis stands 5-foot-7 tall and weighs 160 pounds, is bald and has black eyes.
Anyone with information that Sturgis is occupying a residence in the Milford area is asked to call 672-5306, or use the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip Application available at delaware.gov/apps.
Anonymous information also may be provided to Delaware Crime Stoppers by calling (800) TIP-3333, online at tipsubmit.com, or by sending a text to 274637 (CRIMES) and starting the message with the keyword “DSP.”
