The Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation is hosting Family Day Saturday, May 6 from 1-4 p.m., at the DASEF Environmental Outpost at Big Oak Park, 585 Big Oak Road, Smyrna, just east of Route 13.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Activities include rocket launching and face painting. Look at the sun through the telescope. See the moonrocks and meteorites, an ILC space suit and the hands-on Clean Water Maze featuring marine life by Wyland.

Meet and learn about endangered animals with life-size inflatables and about species in the rain forest.

See Ronald McDonald’s show, learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, crawl like a caterpillar and move like a gorilla.

Try the Bird Migration Maze, Rocket Bounce and the new Wonder Seats.

A raffle drawing will be held for prizes.

Refreshments and food will be available for purchase.

The entrance fee i $5 per person with children 3 and under free.

Proceeds benefit the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation’s educational programs.
