Snuggle Up and Save Winter Scavenger Hunt: tweet pictures of completed tasks to @EnergyClimateDE.
Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Energy and Climate is sponsoring the Snuggle Up and Save Winter Scavenger Hunt.
The scavenger hunt encourages children to make their homes more energy efficient.
Many families can save 20 to 30 percent on energy bills by making basic energy efficiency upgrades or conserving energy, like turning off lights when not in use and turning down the thermostat.
Parents and children can use the room-by-room guide to search for ways to reduce energy use and keep out cold air. Children who complete at least two items in each room will earn a Certified Energy Saver certificate, mailed to their home, and may have their first name and town featured on the Division of Energy and Climate’s website.
Parents and guardians may also Tweet pictures of completed tasks to @EnergyClimateDE.
