Staci R. Weldon, 26, of the 24000 block of Deep Branch Road in Georgetown, was arrested by Harrington police on April 18 after she gave officers a fake name on a traffic stop, said police spokesman Capt. Earl K. Brode.
After Weldon was pulled over on Delaware Avenue for a traffic violation she gave the officer a fake name and a fake date of birth. Officers were able to confirm her identity after finding her drivers’ license picture.
Weldon then provided her real information and police found she had a suspended license, several warrants for her arrest and was wanted by the Milton Police Department.
She was taken into custody without incident. Police found drug paraphernalia while searching the vehicle and there also were three children inside that were not restrained.
Weldon is charged with criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, no child restraint and operating an unsafe motor vehicle.
She was then turned over to the Milton Police Department due to her active arrest warrant.
