Jaime Hurlock was hired as the new special education coordinator at Sussex Academy.

Hurlock has seven years’ experience in education including roles as a paraprofessional, and elementary and middle/high school special education teacher. She joins the Sussex Academy faculty from the Cape Henlopen Consortium.

Hurlock graduated from Wilmington University with degrees in special education and elementary education. She holds master’s degrees in applied technology in education and in school leadership. She recently became a certified autism and severe disabilities teacher.  

Hurlock’s position at Sussex Academy became effective on July 1.
