Delaware State Police apprehend Seaford man wanted in connection with a domestic assault.
UPDATE: 51-year-old Leslie Williams was located and apprehended by state troopers at a residence in Seaford today, October 11, and was transported to Troop 4 in Georgetown without incident.
He was charged with first degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, and breach of release and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $60,200 cash bond.
The incident took place on Wednesday, October 5 at 11:32 p.m. Delaware State Police were dispatched to the emergency room at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, where a male victim had suffered a laceration to his upper torso during a domestic assault. An investigation revealed a physical altercation had occurred in the 24,000 block of King Road in Seaford in which the suspect, 51-year-old Leslie Williams, of Seaford, confronted the victim, who had contacted his girlfriend. Williams allegedly assaulted the victim before fleeing the residence.
Warrants for Williams have been obtained for Assault 1st degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony, and Breech of Release. The suspect also has an active no-contact order with his girlfriend prohibiting him from having contact with her or being at her residence.
