Christmas events in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach are right around the corner, according to the Rehoboth-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce. 

Santa has announced his hours and location in Rehoboth Beach this year. Santa’s House will be on the boardwalk at the end of Rehoboth Avenue and hours are 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays, from Nov. 26 through Dec. 18. There will also be special opening day hours on Friday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m., and pet hours on Dec. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. There is no charge to visit Santa, but donations for his elves are appreciated. New to the area this year is Winter WonderFEST, consisting of both a Light Spectacular and Christmas Village, in Lewes from Nov. 18 through Jan. 1. The two-mile Light Spectacular is a drive-through light show with more than 60 displays at Cape Henlopen State Park, and Christmas Village, at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, will feature an ice skating rink, live music, indoor holiday workshops, a strolling Santa, and carnival rides (including a giant Ferris wheel). Winter WonderFEST kicks off on Friday, Nov. 18 with a 5K run and two-mile walk around Light Spectacular, followed by an opening night party at Crooked Hammock Brewery. Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Tree Lighting & Sing-Along will take place at the bandstand on Friday, Nov. 25, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Doug Yetter and the Village Improvement Association Chorus will host the sing-along and officially illuminate the city’s most famous tree. Drexel Davison, owner of Bad Hair Day, will be emceeing the event and dancers from Sussex Dance Academy will be dressed in costumes from The Nutcracker, passing out candy canes to the crowd. In Dewey Beach, the annual holiday tree lighting festivities will take place on Saturday, Nov. 26, beginning at 6 p.m. at Fifer's Orchards market. Parking is free on any street in Dewey. Attendees are encouraged to bring their family, refreshments, and their Christmas Spirit!
